Scholarship opportunities now available!
Multiple sclerosis shouldn’t stand in the way of an education. Sponsored by Volunteers in MS (VIMS), Steve Zamucen, and the McGrory Family Foundation, the Society's scholarship program helps qualified students with MS or who have a parent with MS achieve their dreams of going to college.
Because of Walkers like you, nearly $1.2 million was awarded to 679 scholars in 2013. Scholarship applications will be accepted until January 15, 2014.

Meet Alexander, our 2013 scholarship recipient.
Alexander Salazar, an exceptional student from La Mesa, was selected from the Pacific South Coast region for the scholarship. At age six, he moved from Columbia to the United States with his mother. In 2009, Alexander’s mother was diagnosed with MS.
Although MS has meant changes at home for Alexander, he said having a family member with MS has helped him grow. In his scholarship application, he emphasized the compassion he has for his mother and for others living with MS, the patience he must show on a daily basis and his responsibility to believe in himself and his family.
“She sacrificed a great deal of her life in order to give me opportunities she never received. It’s the reason I have so much ambition to be successful.” - Alexander
